Porsche Cayman GT4
Rational and Irrational, being perfectly imperfect, the distinction might be exceedingly subtle at times and it may be as sharp as a razor blade at times. Porsche revealed the car that the supercar community feared they would never construct in 2015. Since the mid-engine sports car’s launch 10 years ago, Porsche has allowed its Porsche Motorsport branch in Weissach to work its magic on a production Cayman.
They did not disappoint. Porsche’s engineers tried their best to create the ultimate mid-engine sports vehicle for road and track use, using components from the 911 GT3, an engine carried over from a Carrera S and modified and tuned chassis, brakes, and aerodynamics.
Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale
Sexiest Maserati one would ever come across. From 2007 until 2019, the Maserati GranTurismo was a series of grand tourers built by the Italian vehicle manufacturer Maserati. They superseded the company’s 2-door V8 grand tourers, the Maserati Coupé and Spyder. Initially, the car was equipped with a 4.2-litre V8 engine developed in collaboration with Ferrari. The GranTurismo platform was based on the Maserati M139 platform from the Maserati Quattroporte V, and it featured double-wishbone front and rear suspension.
It is appealing, sensual, and exotic, and it drives well. When it goes on sale in the first quarter of 2011, it will be the quickest, lightest, and most powerful automobile in the Maserati lineup. The MC Racing Shift 6-speed robotised manual gearbox is normally in auto mode, but the driver can select sport or race mode, which modifies gearbox operations, suspension, traction control, and even the engine sound. With a stated peak speed of 303 km/h, the MC Stradale is the first GranTurismo to breach the 300 km/h barrier.
The Lexus LC is a grand tourer produced by Toyota’s premium subsidiary, Lexus. The deliciously outlandish LC coupe originated as a similarly wild-looking 2012 concept vehicle that Lexus had no intention of producing. The Lexus LC is the company’s first car to employ a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive architecture. The general design of the concept model was kept by the LC. It features a tight mesh at the top that transitions to a broader diamond at the bottom. However, unlike other vehicles in the range, the top of the spindle grille is not surrounded by chrome. The short overhang between the bumper and wheels houses the compact LED triple-projector headlamp.
Lotus Exige Sport 410
The Exige Sport 410 is our favourite of the lot. The Lotus Exige Sport 410 is powered by a retuned version of Toyota’s ubiquitous supercharged 3.5L V6 engine. The lightest V6 Exige ever results in a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 389 hp/tonne. The Lotus Exige line combines the practicality of the Sport 350 with the extreme emphasis of the Cup 430. It’s not cheap, but it provides a unique and exhilarating driving experience like few others, a true sports car in a digitally sterile world. The 410 is physically tough and needs a lot of dedication, but it’s a lot of fun to drive. This is a Lotus that will both fascinate and thrill track day novices and circuit pros.
The Jaguar XKR line has always exuded the air of a sophisticated and smooth gentleman’s racer. The XKR-S is the most extreme embodiment of Jaguar’s enthusiasm for creating beautiful, fast automobiles to date. Jaguar achieves 300kph for the first time in a series-production car, due to the seamless performance of the supercharged 5.0-litre AJ-V8 engine. The direct-injection powertrain now generates 550PS and 680Nm of torque thanks to a reworked fueling programme. Extensive recalibration has guaranteed that power delivery and performance are flawless, resulting in a 0-60mph speed of 4.2 seconds.
The Mercedes-AMG GT blends outstanding driving characteristics and racing performance with exceptional daily utility. Mercedes-AMG GT was a completely new sports vehicle from the bottom up. A great mid-size sports vehicle with an all-aluminium body and a 4.0-litre engine capable of 510 horsepower. The GT was Mercedes-second AMG’s totally in-house built sports vehicle. Its front mid-engine architecture with transaxle and sophisticated aluminium lightweight construction lay the groundwork for a thrilling driving experience. Its freshly built AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine also highlights the characteristic AMG driving prowess. The new GT blends first-class racing performance with exceptional everyday usability and efficiency, setting new benchmarks in the market.
Audi RS 4 Avant
The Audi RS 4 is a high-performance variation of the Audi A4 range manufactured by Audi Sport GmbH for AUDI AG, a Volkswagen Group business. It is the quickest and most sports-focused car based on the A4’s “B” automotive chassis, surpassing the Audi S4. The RS 4 was revived in 2012, this time based on the A4 Avant rather than the sedan like the original model. The 2.9-litre TFSI twin-turbo V6 engine in the RS 4 Avant produces 331 kW and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. The honeycomb grille and RS-specific front bumper distinguish the RS 4 Avant’s design. The eye-catching rear diffuser adds to the car’s aggressive appearance, while new wheel designs and flared wheel arches provide thrilling highlights.
Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster
With the global launch of the V12 Vantage Roadster, Aston Martin is revealing an extreme new sports vehicle. The new sports car, which is available as a limited edition in select markets around the world, quickly becomes the most powerful example of the open-top Vantage range, combining the breath-taking power of Aston Martin’s naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 engine with the established thrills of Vantage Roadster driving for an unforgettable sports car experience. The core of the Vantage is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The 6.0-litre V12 Vantage Roadster engine, which is shared with the Coupe, produces 517 PS at 6,500 rpm and 570 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm.
