BMW CE 04 : The Silent Revolution
“The BMW CE 04 is our new electric star for the city. It combines an e-drive with emotion and motorcycling fun. The latest technology, and the best battery cells, which also provide power in the BMW iX. Just like the CE 04, all future new BMW Motorrad models for urban mobility will be pure electric.”
Oliver Zipse, CEO of BMW AG.
The CE 04 glides through the city with purpose. Designed for a quick commute. From home to work and back home again. It is Dynamic and efficient — and completely free of emissions. Riding the bike helps you to reach your goal in the city with ease due to its low center of gravity and easy riding position.
The Designers and developers began with a white piece of paper that was completely blank. People and how they will travel through the great metropolis in the future are at the heart of their concept. The design and functionality were then totally rethought. They had a lot of freedom because of the small battery which became the foundation for a clean, dynamic silhouette: Large, tranquil surfaces dominate the CE 04 idea, which are disrupted by sharp edges.
“A design that combines the need for functionality and clear aesthetics with digital reality. “
Alexander Buckan, Head of Vehicle Design BMW Motorrad
In terms of design, the new BMW CE 04 embodies a new, forward-thinking type of urban two-wheeled mobility, with an inventive style that arouses feelings for this new drive technology. while also immediately distinguishing the scooter as a BMW Motorrad member. The qualities of the CE 04 are appropriate for future riders. Assuring that every ride is enjoyable. The seat will float and can be pushed back and forth to modify it individually. The storage box, which can be opened on the side, has ample storage space for a bag or a helmet. The bike has a shiny mineral white paint finish, matte black grain parts, orange-red colour gradient tapes, and disc-style aluminum wheels.
While your favorite playlist plays in the background, the model understands the next destination and navigates purposefully along the road. The rider’s smartphone connects them to their surroundings via the CE 04. The display serves as a bridge between the digital and analogue worlds and at the same time it is functional, safe, and attractive. When you’re riding around in the parka, it looks just as good as when you’re having a casual get-together with pals. Protectors that aren’t visible are practical without drawing attention, and the high-tech material is durable and breathable, keeping you warm and dry. The presence of lights in the sleeves and hood improves visibility on the road greatly. The sensors on the sleeve can be used to turn them on or adjust their color.
“We wanted to create functional clothing that doesn’t actually look it – but simply looks good. “
