A FRACTURED REALITY CAR: IS IT POSSIBLE?

Jul 16, 2022

A FRACTURED REALITY CAR - Have you ever considered the possibility of the change in aesthetics due to the innovation and habitual change that has taken place in and around us due to the environmental change in the world due to the pandemic? The popularity of Zoom and social media has expedited the world's virtualization process, leaving individuals with a more abstract and shattered view. In 2060, this tendency will generate a Fractured Reality with virtual and reality merged, causing a major perceptual shift in which most of the world will be augmented reality. People in that civilization accept everything's severe visual enhancement, with the exception of Gen-Z, who has more actual and solid memories.

THE NEW LOOK: A FRACTURED REALITY CAR

The change in society is going to be something that is of great difference in the years that are yet to be followed up on in the coming years. The new-look in the conceivable future is a hybrid of cyberpunk and hard concrete. It's a deconstructed world with both artificial and genuine elements. Simultaneously, researching the newest technological advancements and aesthetic movements, and assuming that in the future, people would use AR technology in the disciplines of architecture and fashion. The façade and inside of buildings will be substantially influenced by AR projection, while people's apparel will evolve into an organic blend of actual materials and AR projection.

IDEATION

He devised four major design directions for this purpose,

Direction A: A continuous shell with an internal core. The inside is created as a complete, so it is not bound by the outside packaging, but may have its own distinctive shape, paired with the translucent and strong shell, resulting in a novel 3D composition of the car.

Direction B: Brutalism, Hard Concrete, and Reminiscent In the 1960s, Brutalism architecture moulded massive geometry with harsh concrete. Inspired by this, this design approach employs a minimal form language to evoke the car's simplistic outline.

Direction C: Elements of Negative Space, Inside-Out, and Deconstructivism

This direction, inspired by deconstructivist architecture, endows it with the connotation of negative space transformation and the link of interior-exterior space, therefore exploring new space composition possibilities in the world of vehicle design.

Direction D: Poetry, layering, and floating components with a delicate and flexible visual impression, this theme produces a poetic body line by suspending the body components and changing the layered connection.

Choosing some of the aforementioned ideas that best reflect the essential meaning of my thesis topic and coming up with my ultimate direction: Car-shaped, poetic, and evocative. The definition of luxury evolves with time. People's lives will be altered by the virtualization trend of technology in 2060. Virtualization and fragmentation design are becoming more prevalent in our lives. This design approach seeks to evoke the beauty of poetry, order, and the soul of the automobile. Tech-wise, Room-temperature superconducting materials based on magnetic levitation technology replace the typical body structure. This dynamic film, made up of tens of millions of microscopic particles, can change form and colour to fit various application conditions.
