The Latest Electric Hypercar inspired by cyberpunk: COMET RB.X

Mar 20, 2022

The Latest Electric HyperCar - The Comet RB.X is yet another electric HyperCar style experiment with more traditional and vintage design language. The body of the car is visually divided into two parts; the main part in carbon fibre is more of a technical structure that houses air intakes, lights, wheels, telemetry instruments, and every detail about it has a subtle cyberpunk vibe, as the entire concept of the car must follow a mix of classic and future.

DESIGN: The Latest Electric HyperCar

The flow of the profile was inspired by classic automobiles such as the Ferrari 330 P4, Porsche 910, or the Lola T70, while the details are inspired by classics such as the Ferrari BB 512 or the 288 GTO, as well as more recent preferences such as the overall cyberpunk design. The cabin is minimal and there are no giant screens or superfluous features to distract the driver. All the instructions and the major information are contained in the f1-style steering wheel or in the retractable screen in front of the driver, which also displays views from the rearview cameras.

Experience

The screen may be turned off in racing mode for a more focused driving experience. The only significant novelty in this car is the electric motor, and everything else is designed to be as driver-focused as possible. Even if the drivetrain is entirely electric, the desire to keep everything as simple and uncomplicated as possible is dictated by the need to preserve everything timeless and pure. Giant screens are necessary right now, but certain automakers like Bugatti take an opposite approach to the dominant trend.

The technical component is covered by a coloured blanket that is the upper body, beginning with the huge intake connected directly to the primary grille and flowing through the muscular arches of the wheels, ending in a ducktail that continues the flow of the upper part until the conclusion. A huge glass greenhouse stands on top, ensuring the vision, particularly in the rear: a section of normal hypercars that may now open wide, free of petrol engine limitations. The general appearance and some details are influenced by previous and modern sports cars, with an emphasis on the fundamental and austere.

NEED

Of course, your product will have less interaction and functions, but you will have obtained something that transcends its context, an object that is social, isn't shared, isn't connected to anyone or anything, an object in which you can rest from the rush of modern times and simply take your time, contemplate the road and yourself. This automobile appears to be quick, but travelling fast isn't the purpose because life is about having fun while respecting people and the environment and not just rushing from point A to point B in 2.5 seconds while irritating everyone around you.

It's just the driver, the road, and possibly the passenger taking all the time in the world while cruising down Big Sur, Tokyo Expressway, or the Stelvio pass in complete silence: in the end, we can't even call the RB.X a hypercar, but rather a hyper cruiser, a car designed for a quick yet relaxed fugue in beautiful landscapes. As a result, it is acceptable to assume that the major goal of the RB.X was to produce something that transcended current times, something nostalgic but futuristic, something akin to an Apache song where classical instruments and choruses are merged with electronic sounds.

Something really timeless, bringing together the past's experience with optimism for the future. An event that is more for you than for anybody else, since we cannot serve others well until we first treat ourselves well. Something that is unquestionably beneficial.
