Design Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the Concept car team and Production car team.
• Provide new and innovative creative direction and concept to the teams.
• Resource management and work assignments.
• Oversight of critical projects.
• Provide direction to 2D/3D creative work; supervise all the production and concept accordingly.
• Ensure the consistency from design to final production.
• Give good presentation internal and external.
• Manage multiple projects from concept through completion.
• Work closely & efficiently with the marketing to develop solutions that effectively meet marketing strategies and/or company objectives, as well as timelines and budgets.
• Train and manage the team’s needs, support the professional development of the creative team, including ongoing feedback, coaching, and career support.
• Communicating with upper management on critical issues.

Skills & Competencies

• Communication skills – You must be able to listen to and speak with staff and clients to ensure that they understand our ideas and clients’ desires.
• Creativity – You must be able to come up with interesting and innovative ideas to develop concepts

Automotive Designer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create interior and component design proposals while demonstrating exceptional design language.
• Interior design assignments range from completing interior compartments to singular components such as instrument panels, door panels, center consoles, steering wheels, hard trim, seats, and gauge clusters, etc.
• Execute new design initiatives required to support local production, advance interior model builds and show vehicle properties.
• Follow projects from beginning to end by providing appropriate vehicle themes that convey the spirit of each vehicle brand.
• Research and maintain a competitive digital benchmarking library
• Develop design themes into cohesive design proposals, and finish 2D-to-3D translation.
• Generate professional and high visual quality design presentations

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in automotive or industrial design.
• Talent and Creativity. Have passions in car design
• Excellent automotive design knowledge and experience (i.e., concept generation, theme exploration and development into cohesive proposals, development from 2D to 3D, etc.)
• Innovative and fresh ideas in diverse design fields.
• Ability to follow design projects independent.
• Excellent sketching, visualization, and graphics skills (i.e., hand sketching, Photoshop, etc.)
• Excellent ability to coordinate and work with clay modelers on scaled and full-size clay models
• Proficient in digital 3D modelling (i.e., Alias, Blender, Speed form)
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese. (Visual, verbal, written)
• Able to work as a part of team and keep fluid communication with all levels.
• Good presentation skills, able to handle design presentation and reviews.

Junior Exterior & Interior Designers

Skills and qualifications

• Just graduated from University (Transportation or Product Design course), or basic experience in Automotive Design (1 to 2 years, with international or Chinese OEM)
• Passionate about car design and with a creative, innovative approach
• Willing to continuously learn and capable of facing complex challenges to make the difference
• Proactive, talented, and self-motivated, able to work as part of an international team
• Able to deliver under tight time conditions
• Exceptional visual communication skills
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial, Product or Transportation Design is required
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Express a high level of creativity through free-hand drawings as well as Photoshop sketches and renderings
• Work closely together with studio engineering to find solutions that can be brought to production
• Work on a broad range of production and advanced design programs
• High level of flexibility to work on overall design process: from styling proposals to detail solutions

CAS/Alias Modeler

Duties & Responsibilities

• Development in 3D of complete production and show cars.
• Close cooperation in all related functions within design and engineering department.
• Creation of presentations with Alias for design reviews.

Requirements

• Great ability to sketch in 3D with Alias’s studio (knowledge of the 3D polygon modelling with software such as Maya or 3DS MAX a plus).
• Capability to translate a 2D sketch in volume.
• Aesthetic sense of car design.
• English language required for a multicultural team environment. 
• Experience with visualization softwares, e.g., Photoshop, Maya, VRED, Showcase etc.
