Geely Design China – Shanghai
Shanghai is the beating heart for the Geely range where we are tapping into China’s 5,000 years of the visual arts to give our products a unique flavour in their detailing. Our team has established a studio and built a coherent brand identity at the same time as launching multiple products.
China has a rich and diverse culture to be inspired by as Geely Auto develops as a proud Chinese brand. With over 30 ongoing projects our Geely Design China studio has grown to over 300 people.



Interaction Design Director
Direct and lead the creative design work of the interaction design to develop an industry-leading interaction design team.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for planning design strategies in the field of human-computer interaction and controlling the development direction of the interaction design team.
- Establish and develop an industry-leading interactive design team.
- Responsible for planning and coordinating the design work of various professional fields of interaction design.
- Guide the interaction of the intersection parts of each business module and give opinions and decisions.
- Responsible for business communication across departments and support related work.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- At least 8 year of leadership experience in leading a broader organization.
- Significant functional experience in Graphic Design, CG Animation or Game area.
- Language proficiency: professional English skill in speaking, writing, reading.
- Rich communication skills and professional reporting skills.
Exterior Designer
Key Accountabilities
- Lead a design team to provide creative and high-quality proposals from the perspective of user experience and marketing.
- Supervise design deliverables on time with quality.
- Solve project related issues through collaborating with other departments within GDC.
- Verify feasibility of design and ensure project progress with engineers from external organizations.
- Follow GDC exterior design workflows and documents related to exterior NPDS develop management strictly.
- Train junior exterior designers with relevant design skills.
- Support design media press and relevant new vehicle launch events.
- Work with several projects simultaneously.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company’s policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor or above of design related degree.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in car design area with bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Asian OEMs is a plus.
- Relevant transportation design or industry design knowledge and full understanding of complete vehicle development process.
- Effective time management and analytical skills.
- Solid experience in 3D physical and digital design development (Alias Automotive / Speed form).
- Strong ability to work in 2D (Photoshop / Sketchbook).
- Effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills and English speaking and writing.
- Great team player.
Interior Designer
Key Accountabilities
- Understand the core value of brand; create excellent design work to support concept and production projects on time with high quality.
- Follow GDC Interior design workflows and documents related to Interior NPDS develop management.
- Lead design projects to provide creative and high-quality proposals, present proposals for design review.
- Solve design related engineering issues, speaking partner with project engineering and program management.
- Work with several projects simultaneously.
- Train junior Interior designers with relevant design skills.
- Design from the perspective of user experience and marketing.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company’s policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
- Keep up with latest Interior design trend.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor or above of design related degree.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in car design area with bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Asian OEMs is a plus.

Brand Identity Design Manager
Key Accountabilities
- Generate multiple visual languages, graphic concepts and develop into viable, documented design solutions.
- Integrate brand messaging, colour, type, and visual composition into deliverables.
- Produce creative collateral, digital and environmental solutions across multiple 2D and 3D applications.
- Project management skills to interact and coordinate design teams.
- Keep up to date with emerging, relevant technologies and trends.
- Training intern and junior designers.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications design, art direction or related fields.
- Minimum 6 year of design experience.
- Experience with national and/or multi-national design, branding, advertising, or communications agencies.
- Expertise in Adobe CC – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and Office Power point.
- Experience in motion graphics/digital media/video editing software such as Premier, After Effects, iMovie or equivalent.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high energy, rapidly growing organization.
- Presentation skills with Chinese and above average command of English.
- Effective communication.
