GORDON MURRAY IS HIRING- Gordon Murray Design Limited currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior CMF Designer to join our Design, Development and Engineering Centre based in Shalford, Surrey. You will work as part of the Group Creative Team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the creation and development of CMF narratives, strategy, and comprehensive design guidelines and to help create and develop the Customer Journey Experience within Gordon Murray Automotive. Providing a high-quality service through attention to detail, a disciplined and methodical approach and close liaison with colleagues and customers.



Responsibilities
• To create and deliver engaging and innovative design proposals for Exterior and Interior Color and Material concepts
• Create and Implement the Customer Journey for T.50/T.50s
• Excellent communication and strong presentation skills working with the GMA owners face to face at the GMA CEC customer excellence centre
• Execute the Customer Journey team for CMF
• Manage day to day workflow of Customer Experience Centre
• Create visuals that portray the ethos of GMA light-weighting
• Continued improvement of CMF brand guidelines and ensuring everything is on-brand
• Research and implement new Materials and Finishes
• Responsible for generating CMF Design Specifications, project and material development timing plans, mastering material samples
• Deliver target samples and support Design Quality in the delivery of master samples for all colours & materials
• Create confirm the trim level strategy
• Work closely with suppliers, developing materials for GMD production specifications
• To represent the Studio/Color and Materials team at technical/senior meetings as required • Take an active role in growing the CMF department at GMD
• Maintain an awareness of trends and developments in furniture, fashion, and architecture design, and apply that knowledge to automotive design
Experience and Qualifications
• A degree in Industrial Design, Textile Design, Color and Material Design, or equivalent, with OEM Design Department experience as a Color and Material Designer
• Highly creative with excellent colour vision, colour harmony and an intuitive understanding of the perceived value and craftsmanship
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbally and visually
• Self-driven and hands-on with the ability to work independently
• Strong project planning/management skills would be beneficial
• Software Tools – Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office
• No visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling in the European Union
