Jeep Avenger – The first fully electric car from Jeep has debuted on European roads. Eric Laforge, who heads the Jeep brand in Europe, presented the vehicle and described it as the perfect option for those seeking a small, robust, stylish car. The launch of the Jeep Avenger marks the start of the brand’s electrification journey in Europe, with four more all-electric vehicles scheduled to be released by 2025. This marks the beginning of the BEV wave in Europe.

The Jeep Avenger, unveiled at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, has received much positive attention from consumers and industry experts alike. It was recently named Car of the Year 2023 and Best Family SUV in the Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) awards. It can travel up to 400 km on a single charge, according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), and up to 550 km in city driving. The vehicle’s fast-charging mode is also noteworthy, with the capability to recharge 30 km in only 3 minutes, which is usually enough for a typical day’s usage. It can charge from 20 to 80% in just 24 minutes, making it highly convenient.

It has many safety features, such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Autonomous Emergency Braking with Vulnerable Road Users Protection (for pedestrians and cyclists), Automatic Parking, and 180-degree Rear Camera with Drone View. These features and other Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) provide Level-2 Driving Autonomy in the Electric Version.

This is achieved by optimising each component for maximum performance and efficiency to extend the range of the vehicle. The eCMP2 electric platform, which has undergone 600 modifications, is the foundation of this achievement. It is a small but powerful platform customised for the Avenger.
