Kia Sportage : The Ultimate Urban SUV

To create the best urban SUV, Kia’s fifth-generation Sportage has been meticulously designed from the ground up. 

Kia’s new Sportage epitomizes the brand’s pioneering spirit. The Sportage’s historical success is heavily rooted in a perpetual reinvention philosophy. Fifth-generation Sportage moves Kia to the next level under the new Kia brand. 

Designers also concentrated on providing a comfortable space for all residents to enjoy. Everyone in the Sportage benefits from class-leading headroom and legroom thanks to a clever design and savvy use of space. SUV sets the standard for luggage capacity, highlighting its everyday practicality and usability for the whole family. 

Exterior 

New design boundaries are set by the exterior of the all-new Sportage, setting the tone for the next generation of the Kia family. 

The elegant body is roiled by tense and precise lines, emphasizing dramatic style tensions. Its clean, muscular surfaces combine with sophisticated artwork to offer it a powerful and assertive appearance on the highway. 

There are five pillars to this thought-provoking and innovative ideology. Incorporating the natural environment and developing a design identity that is adventurous, emotional, modern, and organic was the final pillar that informed the design of the new Sportage. 

Kia’s global design network in Korea, Germany, the United States, and China worked together to create the all-new Sportage. 

Sportage’s black grille pattern, which spans the breadth of the vehicle’s face, gives the vehicle a precise and sophisticated look. The frontal characteristics of the all-new Sportage are brought together in the technological graphic, giving the vehicle a stunning appearance. To provide a strong boundary line for the spectacular Matrix LED headlamps, Kia’s current iconic Tiger Nose grille is connected to the distinctive futuristic-styled boomerang-shaped LED DRLs (daytime running lamps). 

The side profile of the all-new Sportage pays homage to its sports utility background, with taut lines cutting across clean but refined body surfaces that smoothly merge the contrasting volumes together, creating a stirring road presence. As a first for the Sportage line, a black roof is now available with the new model, helping to enhance the sporty character and architecturally dramatic C-pillar of the vehicle. In the rear of the all-new Sportage, a chrome beltline is added that extends into the D-pillar, producing a harmonious line with the rear spoiler that adds even more to the car’s sports heritage. 

With a muscular sweeping fastback design that flows into the rear lamps, the all-new Sportage retains its strong road presence at the rear. As a result of the thin horizontal lines connecting the razor-sharp tail lamps, the all-new Sportage has a strikingly wide appearance from the rear. 

Interior 

To create a truly cutting-edge driving environment, the inside of the all-new Sportage plays with boldness in character, softness in characteristics, and technological innovation. The cabin has been meticulously designed to combine cutting-edge technology with luxurious amenities, premium materials, and modern styling to create a seamless experience. 

With a sleek touchscreen pad and finely crafted air vents, the all-new Sportage’s modern cabin is centered around a beautifully sculpted integrated curved display. To give the cockpit a sense of width and depth, the curved display spans the whole front of the cockpit. 

In terms of connectivity, functionality and usability, the high-tech 12-inch touchscreen and powerful integrated controller serve as the nerve center for the driver and passengers. They were designed to be easy to use, intuitive and comfortable to touch. With a 12-inch complete thin-film transistor liquid crystal display, the instrument cluster provides highly precise and crisp images. As a result of its high-tech connectivity, the 2017 Kia Sportage can receive software and map updates via the Internet. 

Driver and front passenger benefit from an ergonomic center console with storage, operating system configuration, cupholders and soft-touch switches that sit on a raised profile next to the transmission dial. Using a smartphone charging bay, you may charge your phone quickly and wirelessly. 

High-end materials that are luxurious to the touch have been used throughout the cabin, while dynamic color selections provide vitality and excitement. Both the driver’s and front passenger’s seats feature a sporty sleek design that combines innovation and comfort. 

The Harman Kardon premium sound system in the all-new Sportage delivers fully immersive, in-car surround sound to its occupants. There has never been a more confident Sportage before. It has a more robust, versatile sensibility. There’s also an X-Line Sportage bumper, side sills and roof rack. A sage-green color is employed on the inside, and dramatic stitching and black metal wood further emphasize the model’s tough persona. 

There’s a new Sportage GT-Line variant that’s supposed to take on an urban crossover SUV form with vibrant and lively body colors that’s opposite the X-Line type. Intense contrasts between black and white give the interior of the GT-Line variant a dynamic vibe.
