Lincoln Navigator : Redefining Serenity

“Elevating a vehicle as successful as Lincoln Navigator is no small feat, and our team accomplished this with pride – turning heads and pulling our clients into the sophisticated, sleek design both inside and out, Building on what we already know and further refining our strengths, we explored more ways for clients to enjoy the sanctuary of their vehicle, using it as a space for personal relaxation and wellness – from home, to work and to stationary moments.”
Kemal Curic, design director, Lincoln.
Lincoln is boosting first-class travel once more with the introduction of additional effortless technologies in the new 2022 Navigator.

The Navigator, the most awarded SUV in the market, accounts for over 33% of the brand’s conquest customers. The Lincoln flagship will continue to expand on its success by meeting and exceeding the discerning needs of luxury clients, with new exterior design elements, innovative technology, and purposeful features and experiences.
Technology

The new Lincoln Navigator 2022 is the first vehicle to have ActiveGlide. Lincoln ActiveGlide*, an evolution of Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition, provides drivers with a new degree of convenience.
Lincoln Enhance provides wireless software updates for the new Navigator, bringing the most up-to-date system and modem technology and improvements. The upgrades include new features and perform preventative maintenance to cut down on repair trips and boost performance, allowing Navigator to improve over time.

Navigator owners will be able to take advantage of Amazon’s world-class voice AI and intelligent features. Customers can continue to use the Lincoln Way app for Alexa to control vehicle operations such as start/stop engine, lock and unlock doors, monitor vehicle range, and tyre pressure from the comfort of their own home.
In addition, the Navigator comes with a built-in Fire TV experience. Fire TV provides passengers with a personalized rear-seat entertainment experience that allows them to watch movies and TV shows, play games, listen to music, and more.
Design

With a redesigned iconic grille and new front end, the 2019 Navigator features a striking look that gives it a more dynamic presence on the road. The standard adaptive pixel projector headlamps get a new style that emphasises the fascia and gives the SUV a more modern appearance. New 3D taillamps fade from the centre out during welcome and back to the centre during departure, adding depth to the LED lights and enhancing the overall welcome of the Lincoln Embrace, which provides balance and a commanding attitude.

SYNC 4’s tranquil Constellation visual design language, which is exclusive to Lincoln, creates a seamless experience with additional possibilities and degrees of personalisation. Constellation is also included on the 12-inch programmable digital cluster and re-imagined head-up display, which has superior voice recognition and a navigation operating system via a new and larger 13.2-inch centre stack screen. Second-row passengers may now adjust climate and audio settings using a new 5.8-inch digital module.

Lincoln improved the Black Label experience on Navigator with exceptional craftsmanship, including a custom designed, dual-finished grille, as well as these two additional themes that join Chalet and Yacht Club in the luxury portfolio:

- With rich-contrast, open-pore dark walnut extending the full length of the instrument panel and depicting lasered-in scenic pathways of perhaps the most famous urban park in the world, Central Park strikes the perfect balance between a lavish, organic oasis and the surrounding skyscrapers of New York City.
- With industry-first dual laser etching and special open-pore Khaya wood that extends across the instrument panel and centre console, the invitation gives a private celebration a welcoming vibe.

Clients can choose from a variety of the brand’s characteristic themes for Standard and Reserve series vehicles, including new exterior colours like Starlight Gray and Manhattan Green Metallic, which is only available in Lincoln Black Label. Clients can further customise their full-size luxury SUV with unique wood appliques like Espresso Ash Swirl and Santos Rosewood.

Designers and engineers at Navigator were preoccupied with developing a true sanctuary with a whisper-quiet journey for everyone. The enhanced massaging technology, which is offered in the extremely comfortable 30-way Perfect Position Seats, elevates driver and front passenger relaxation to new heights, and it doesn’t stop there. Second-row seats now include standard heat, ventilation, and Active Motion massage functionality, which is a segment first. Even better, second-row passengers may now use a new 5.8-inch digital module to adjust their seat, climate, and audio settings.

This spacious cabin provides the ideal setting for experiencing true sound from every seat. The 2022 Navigator’s RevelTM UltimaTM 3D audio system has 28 speakers that surround each occupant in rich, precise, multidimensional sound. Six distinct symphonic chimes recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra add to the relaxing ambience. These crystalline chimes take the place of traditional electronic alerts to notify drivers of everything from an open fuel door to an unbuckled seat belt.

In addition, the Navigator features a new Lincoln Play system with Fire TV to improve the rear entertainment experience. Lincoln sound engineers created a slew of new networking features, with the possibility of more intelligent upgrades via Lincoln Enhance:
- Wireless Bluetooth headphones and a 10.1-inch screen
- Play games, watch movies and TV shows, and listen to music. Watch Prime Video favourites and more.
- With 16 GB of built-in storage for each back display, you may watch Prime Video without being connected while driving.
- Watch content on each rear display separately, or use the mirroring feature to watch material on both monitors at the same time.
- Two Alexa-enabled Voice Remotes are included; simply press and ask Alexa to search, open, and control applications and shows.
- HDMI, USB Type C, and SD are among the input options.

The redesigned Navigator will be constructed at Kentucky Truck Plant and will be available at dealerships in early 2019.
