New Lamborghini Revuelto revealed: Here’s what you need to know
New Lamborghini Revuelto revealed – Revuelto, the first extreme sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV, is presented by Automobili Lamborghini. (High-Performance Electrified Vehicle). With its ground-breaking new architecture, inventive design, maximum-efficiency aerodynamics, and novel carbon frame concept, the Revuelto establishes a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness, and driving joy. The combined power of a brand-new combustion engine, three electric motors, and a double-clutch gearbox—all of which make their premiere on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini—delivers an output of 1015 CV.
The new Revuelto, according to Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, is a turning point in the company’s history and a key component of its Direzione Cor Tauri electrification plan. It is a distinctive and cutting-edge vehicle that is also true to the DNA because the V12 is a recognizable representation of the super sports heritage and past. In order to break the mould, Revuelto combines a brand-new 12-cylinder engine with hybrid technology, striking the ideal equilibrium between providing our clients with the emotion they desire and the requirement to lower emissions.
The mono fuselage, frame, and many bodywork components of the new car are made of carbon fibre, created using artisanal craftsmanship in the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory. The powerful engine power, in conjunction with the extensive use of carbon fibre and lightweight materials, helps to achieve the greatest weight-to-power ratio in Lamborghini’s history: 1.75 kg/CV.
These characteristics work together in the new Revuelto to produce performance numbers that are the best in its class: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, and a maximum speed of more than 350 km/h. These figures, along with the Revuelto super sports car’s exceptional dynamism made possible by the addition of electric torque vectoring and four-wheel drive that is also available in fully-electric drive mode, ensure that the vehicle exhibits its amplified qualities both on the track and during everyday driving.
With Revuelto, Lamborghini architecture is moving into the future. While maintaining the unique Lamborghini design DNA, it creates an entirely new stylistic language. The new shape ties it to the iconic and legendary Lamborghini V12 vehicles of the past, while the new proportions pave the way for the future.
The Revuelto is an entirely new car design that represents a quantum leap both externally and internally, but it still clearly draws influence from earlier V12 legends. Starting with the Countach prototype from 1971, which had ideal proportions developed along a single longitudinal line, this vehicle was in charge of creating a simple, timeless look that was suited to the Space Age period. It established the DNA of the Lamborghini V12 super sports car and debuted one of the most recognizable features of the Lamborghini V12: the vertically opening scissor doors, which helped to define the Revuelto’s personality.
The new vehicle also pays homage to Diablo’s unique proportions and the floating blade on the back fender, while the Murciélago’s muscularity and inclined front are clear. The style, which drew inspiration from aeronautical elements, features sculpted surfaces surrounded by two lines that begin at the front and encircle the engine and cabin before tapering off to the hexagonal-shaped exhausts.
Starting at the front, the aerospace components harmoniously meld with an animalistic muscularity: the broad monolithic carbon-fibre hood’s shark-nose section modelling exudes a feeling of speed and power. The headlamp clusters with Y-shaped daytime running lights, a defining stylistic element of modern Lamborghini design, mirror this. The “Y” is also a defining feature of the driver-focused interior style, which is inspired by the idea of “feeling like a pilot.”
Every element of the cockpit is unmistakably Lamborghini, striking the ideal mix between a digital and physical experience both in normal driving situations and on the racetrack. The interior matches the exterior’s brand-new futuristic exterior design. The 8.4″ vertical touchscreen, the engine of the car’s technology, is housed in a prominent carbon-fibre profile with a “space-ship” design in the visual centre of the interior.
With Revuelto, Lamborghini introduces a brand-new, immersive shared driving experience where the driver and co-driver can both view the same information concurrently on the displays installed in the driver’s side 12.3″ digital cockpit and the passenger’s side 9.1″ display on the dashboard.
The Lamborghini production vehicle with the most customization options is the Revuelto. In reality, the customer can choose from more than 400 bodywork colours and various other customization options to create a unique super sports car.
Absolute driving experience
The Revuelto has been created and developed to provide the driver with a level of trust and connection with the car that has never been felt before, in every circumstance and under every grip condition. The architecture and balance of the vehicle, the cutting-edge approach to the chassis and aerodynamic design, and the new hybrid powertrain, which enables the introduction of new driving modes, including electric 4WD, for a total of 13 distinct driving experiences, are the innovations that place the Revuelto at the pinnacle of its category.
