Next Countach : Wang Cong

So, what should a new Countach look like, you might ask yourself. This was the idea while approaching the concept. This is a difficult problem, because the original Countach is too classic, It goes beyond the times. Too many changes were unnecessary. Just add a few modern elements to the original design to make it more appealing. 

When it came to this concept, Wang Cong didn’t even sketch, but instead used a Countach model as a guide, built a rough model in 3D software, and then made some more futuristic styling changes. So, this was one of the quick projects that he had to complete. It only took him three days from conception to completion. 

As a result, it’s a clean car that, like the original Countach, only impresses people because of its size and proportions. 

Lamborghini, according to Wang, has been lacking in this area in recent years. The number of sports cars with similar styling is also increasing. As a result of its complexity and overdesign, Lamborghini no longer stands out from the crowd. Deliberately taking away some of the Lamborghini’s iconic sharp designs, he rounded them up. As such, it proves that the original Lamborghini feeling can be achieved with a large proportion and shape that have characteristics, even if there aren’t too many details or sharp corners. Lamborghini’s design style during the Countach, Diablo, and Murcielago eras all have their own unique characteristics. 

Light-emitting diodes are used to replace the car”s headlights and taillights with simpler symbols. According to the latest design, there are two forward airports, one on either side of the front of the car. Unlike the rear bumper, the front bumper is a separate design that can be easily customised with different colours to create different looks. There’s still an air intake on the side. Aside from that, there is nothing else. Thus, the overall outline and air inlet are used to create a more distinct appearance on the side, allowing for a clearer line of sight. There is a black A-pillar connecting the front windshield to the side window, making the vehicle look more streamlined. 

The scissors door design is retained in the door opening mode. The tail-wing is available in two versions. The wheel hub was also inspired by the original style. While at the same time, the colour separation design of the wheel rim highlights the graphics of the five rings. 

As a final note, this car is the original Countach + LED, a futuristic take on an old classic. Because Gandini’s Countach is still a fantastic sports car today, it’s easy to see why. As a car enthusiast, I hope Lamborghini can continue to produce works as shocking as the Countach.
