Right now, World is buzzing that Apple cars are coming, so keeping in mind future transportation this is a wonderful opportunity to come up with an Apple Autonomous electric concept micro car. It sounds perfect and interesting.
Introduction
In future, as the number of cars increases, so does the demand for microcars will increase significantly in busy urban and city sides. Saturation for big vehicles like SUVs, trucks, and MUVs is inevitable, In future, only one class of vehicles can stand up high, and that is the market of microcars with new technology and advanced systems. But to thrive in those situations, a brand should keep a keen eye on some of the essential criteria like those cars should not be look boring, should be offering functionality and it should be fun and relaxing.
Design Story
Now talking about the vehicle's design language, it is inspired by the form of Apple products and some of the Braun products’ design language. Round edges, friendliness, and fun were some of the traits that are infused in this project’s design language. The project has a minimalist approach but at the same time things gets interesting by adding some visual attributes like cut lines in door closures and some graphics in wheel arches and in the main frame.
The Vehicle is symmetrical, that means it can access charge pot from both directions, front & back and also no need for a reverse system, because the cabin pod can rotate 360 degree and hence offering a good amount accessibility from different angles, which will be very essential in future. The iconic Apple symbol justifies the electric version of Apple car. This micro car is beautiful, friendly and very urbanist.
Flat wheels ensure maximum gripping, one of the interesting ways for the ingress and egress of the vehicle is that combination of windshield with the door itself, when it flung open, it is somehow depicting the butterfly and gives a positive welcome vibe to the stranger who is about to board.
More Design Details
This car is totally balanced; the form of the vehicle is so simple yet elegant enough to make people fall for its magic; this concept is well equipped with autonomous technology that means reaching your destiny securely plus leaving a lot of space inside the vehicle pod compared to an old school micro car, since classic white is the colour implies the peace and purity of this vehicle, it is a perfect analogy for my project, although experimenting with different colour material and finish (both exterior and interior CMF) may be a another direction which is still open to exploring.
This project was seen as an exclusive public transportation and private micro-car, a pure form explored Apple product. Nonetheless, it was a quite fun working on this project.
