Imagining a break from typical sports car norms, a Chinese student enthusiastically took on the challenge of creating something unique. With an innovative idea in mind, the student set out to step away from the usual ways of designing sports cars, aiming to redefine what makes a car excellent.
Exploring Spatial Forms with Visual Dynamics
Driven by the concept of "Visual Dynamics in Industrial Product Design," the designer immerses himself in the creation of spatial forms that transcend the ordinary. Central to his approach is the idea of visual power, where specific graphics are employed to evoke a compelling sense of strength, referred to as visual force F. Dividing the structure of future cars into two layers—inner and outer—the designer further employs advanced glass technology to make the outer layer transparent, setting the stage for a captivating interplay of visual forces. Three experiments were conducted to achieve this effect:
- Opposite Rotation: The inner component rotates clockwise, while the outer layer rotates counterclockwise.
- Collapsing Tension: The outer structure collapses inward, while the inner structure is simultaneously pulled outward.
- Twisting Forces: Inner components twist outward, while outer components twist inward.
