We must move around cities efficiently, sustainably, and with a focus on well-being. That's why innovative concepts like Opel's SOUL are becoming essential. It changes how we design transportation, tackling the complex problems of modern cities. The project focuses on sustainability, innovation, and human-centred design.

In busy cities, people often feel overwhelmed by constant noise and activity, causing stress and affecting their well-being. SOUL solves this by creating a calm space within its transportation, where passengers can relax and refresh during their travels.

The Detox Experience

Inspired by Opel's keywords "Modern German," "Detox," and "Greenovation," a young student set out to design a futuristic car for 2040. He focused on creating a vehicle that helps people detox from city life by connecting them with nature. The main idea behind SOUL is to offer a pure detox experience through solitude and reflection. Recognizing nature's ability to reduce stress, the concept features a single-seat vehicle designed to transport individuals from the busy city to the calmness of the outdoors.

This SOUL concept tackles a big challenge in today's transportation: reducing environmental impact. At its core is a design philosophy that balances mobility with nature preservation. A key innovation is the development of lightweight tyres with cavities to protect the environment. This concept isn't just about looks; even the technical parts of the vehicle are designed to minimize environmental impact. For instance, advanced axle technology improves performance while reducing the vehicle's ecological footprint.

Simon Olescher, born in Germany in 2002, has recently finished his fourth semester at Pforzheim University, majoring in Transportation Design.
