The Boxer, a multirole armoured fighting vehicle, is being redesigned for this purpose. This project involves detailed design work, from how the vehicle looks on the outside to its functional needs, ensuring it can perform life-saving operations in the most challenging conditions on Earth.

The polar regions, often seen as remote and barren, are undergoing significant changes due to the melting ice caps. This transformation is opening new avenues for trade and resource extraction, but it also leads to heightened territorial disputes and increased military activities. Within this context, the need for a versatile and robust rescue vehicle becomes evident. The new generation Boxer, with a focus on its ambulance role, is a direct response to these evolving needs.
The Design of the Ambulance
Designing the exterior of the Boxer, while keeping its original size, requires creative thinking and advanced technology. This three-month project is a unique challenge, pushing the limits of armoured vehicle design. It's important to meet the needs of the driver, commander, and drone operator, ensuring the vehicle's layout and technology support each role. The project combines armoured vehicle standards with the latest ambulance equipment and search and rescue technologies. This includes using robots and unmanned drones to make missions more effective.

The Boxer's design needs to address several key factors to ensure mission success. Keeping warm in extreme cold is essential, so the materials used for construction and insulation must maintain a comfortable temperature for both patients and crew. Easy entry and exit points are crucial, especially in emergencies, with hatches at each seat for quick evacuation if needed. The vehicle must protect against harsh weather and potential threats. Equipped with ground drones and unmanned aerial systems, the Boxer improves search operations. The storage for these drones is designed for quick and easy access, with panels that open to the ground level. Mobility is critical for success in Antarctic missions. Therefore, it is important to ensure the tyres are suitable for harsh weather and consider the vehicle's colour to blend with the environment.


Inspired by the futuristic aesthetics of Cyberpunk 2077, Blade Runner, and other sci-fi narratives, the exterior design of the Boxer embraces an asymmetrical approach. This style not only gives the vehicle a distinct look but also serves practical purposes. A camouflage pattern helps the vehicle blend into the Antarctic environment, providing an element of stealth. Hatches are strategically placed for each seating position, ensuring quick escape routes in case of emergencies. The rear storage box can be accessed from inside the vehicle, while the ground drone storage panel opens conveniently for operational efficiency.

Human Factors and Interior Design
The design prioritizes the human element, ensuring that all aspects of the vehicle support the crew and patients effectively. The equipment layout within the vehicle is easily accessible, facilitating swift and efficient medical care. Maintaining warmth inside the vehicle in extremely cold temperatures is a primary concern. This involves innovative insulation techniques and possibly an airlock system to prevent heat loss when doors are opened. The interior of the ambulance is spacious enough to accommodate the medical equipment and personnel while ensuring that all necessary actions can be performed efficiently. The gun on the top is not the main focus of this project, its role is only for self-defence since this is an ambulance.

Its ability to operate in severe weather conditions, particularly in the extreme cold of Antarctica, hinges on a multitude of factors. These include weather protection, accessibility of medical equipment, and the integration of search and rescue technologies.
