The project started as a 14-week course at ArtCenter, a well-known design school, in the Powersports Design class. Royal Enfield sponsored the class for that semester, asking students to imagine the future of electric motorcycles that would attract Generation Z. This generation values emotional experiences and often looks for moments to share on social media. With this in mind, the student focused on designing a Royal Enfield motorcycle that captures the pure joy of riding.

This concept was designed to provide an intense, thrilling, and fun riding experience. The goal was to create a lightweight, simple, and powerful Flat Track racer that you can legally ride on the streets. The Quickdraw's look combines modern simplicity with classic Flat Track style. It features wide handlebars, large 19-inch carbon fibre wheels, and thick Flat Track tyres. Furthermore, the X-shaped spokes honour Royal Enfield's ties to the XMoto Racing Team, highlighting the motorcycle's deep connection to Flat Track racing tradition. A key innovation is the digital display that replaces the traditional fixed number plate, making it easy to customize. The Quickdraw's design shows in its structure, with the exposed battery and motor adding to its raw, mechanical look. The bike's frame, starting at the handlebars, curves through the body and splits into the tail support and suspension, turning necessary parts into a stylish feature.

The Royal Enfield project is designed to attract beginner Flat Track riders, making it easier for them to start the sport. Safety is a big focus, with special features to help new riders. The bike’s frame, connected to the handlebars, acts as an extra handle to help riders adjust their position. An additional guard on the forks makes it easy to switch between drifting with feet on the ground and getting back on the footpegs. Although built for racing, this Royal Enfield concept is also street-legal, making it a versatile urban bike. Its flat seat and wide handlebars ensure comfort for daily rides, while the dirt track-capable tyres provide smooth performance on different road surfaces.

It avoids unnecessary technology that adds weight to electric motorcycles and focuses on what matters. It has a 3.4kWh battery that produces about 190 lbs of torque, and the bike itself weighs around 185 lbs. The Quickdraw is a dual-purpose motorcycle with the spirit of a Flat Track racer, made for a new fully electric Flat Track racing class. This powerful machine promises the excitement Generation Z craves, creating lasting memories. Royal Enfield’s dedication to combining tradition with modern innovation is clear in the Quickdraw, a motorcycle that honours its heritage while embracing the future of electric riding.
