Peugeot Mini SUV Concept - Argentina is famous for its beautiful silver jewellery, which is fitting since the country’s name comes from "Argentum," the Latin word for silver. One notable family of artisans in Buenos Aires includes two grandparents, two parents, and two children, all dedicated to crafting silver jewellery. Every day, this family navigates the city’s narrow streets, requiring a vehicle that is both compact and spacious. The Peugeot Mini SUV Concept, a fully electric crossover, is the perfect solution for this busy Argentine family. Though it is shorter than a Toyota Corolla Cross, this car features three rows of seats, providing plenty of room for six people. This clever design offers easy movement in tight urban spaces while also meeting the practical needs of the family.

The Peugeot Mini SUV design is inspired by the elegance and craftsmanship of silver rings, reflecting Argentina's rich silver jewellery heritage. The lower glossy black section of the car has two purposes: it houses the battery and provides crash protection, symbolizing the strong base of a ring. This design not only strengthens the vehicle but also honours Argentine silver artistry.

The glossy black base is crafted to look like the solid and reliable foundation of a silver ring, showcasing both strength and beauty. This part fits seamlessly into the overall design, making the car safe and stylish. By incorporating elements of silver rings, it captures the essence of Argentine craftsmanship, combining traditional artistry with modern car engineering.

This mini SUV concept is like a mother lion protecting her cubs, showing both strength and elegance. The lower part of the car features Peugeot's signature lion claw lighting for the headlights and taillights, giving the 290X a fierce look. The front of the car looks like a lion’s open mouth, giving it an aggressive appearance. Inside this "mouth," diamond-shaped textures serve as secondary LED lights, adding to the vehicle's jewellery-like design and supporting the main tri-claw headlights. This design continues at the rear with tri-claw taillights and deep red diamond-shaped LED lights.

The lower part of the car is shaped around the front and rear fenders, resembling a lion's strong shoulders. The semi-exposed tyres add to the car's strong, lion-like stance. The lion theme is also seen in the wheels, which look like metal claws. Overall, the Peugeot Mini SUV combines aggressive design with elegant details, capturing the protective strength and graceful beauty of a mother lion. The upper cabin section of this innovative SUV concept, representing the jewel of the ring, has an aerodynamic teardrop shape. A prominent feature of this section is an undercut that runs along the entire length of the body, mirroring the silhouette of the lower section. This design choice reduces the vehicle's visual mass and enhances its sculptural appeal, making it look sleeker and more elegant.
The full glass roof further reduces the visual mass, offering unparalleled visibility, which is essential for navigating dense urban areas. Beneath the undercut, exposed pillars reveal a skeletal structure under the sleek greenhouse, adding to the vehicle's sophisticated look.

Furthermore, the vehicle's appearance is divided into three main colour segments: a black lower section, a silver main body, and a glass greenhouse. This segmentation makes the vehicle appear higher off the ground and lighter than it is. Additionally, the horizontal design of the wheels and the undercut create a cohesive horizontal theme that harmonizes with the lower section's silhouette, resulting in a unified design. This thoughtful design approach makes the car both visually striking and practical for urban driving.
