The Inspiration behind Hanok
Step into the majestic Korean palaces, where every stone tells stories of kings and queens. Among the detailed buildings, you'll find the roots of HANOK's design. Inspired by the splendour of these ancient places, HANOK mirrors their greatness and elegance. The designer of HANOK looked to these palaces for ideas, where every little detail and smart design was important. These palaces, once homes to royalty, are the perfect example of Hanok architecture. Their grandness and beauty became the plan for HANOK's new design.

It mixes the calm yet lively beauty of Hanok with the usefulness of a tractor, making a new design that's both smart and practical. The designer wanted HANOK to make people feel amazed and emotional, just like being in a real Hanok. So, they added lots of little details that make you feel something when you see them.
Design Elements in Hanok
Imagine the side steps of HANOK, carefully crafted to match the graceful curves of Hanok architecture. They're not just there to look pretty; they also help keep dirt away. Inside, the cabin is split into two parts - a round area for driving and work, and a peaceful back part that feels like the 'Daecheongmaru' in a Hanok. The fancy circular LED door, inspired by the grand 'Manwolmun', adds a royal touch.

On the back of HANOK, there's an LED shaped like a 'Changhoji', which works as both rear lights and mood lighting, making the relaxation spot extra special. The wheels, designed after Korea's national flower, the 'Mugunghwa', are made to avoid getting stuck in rough roads. They're also set up so the tractor can turn easily with all four wheels moving at once.

Redefining Functionality
HANOK isn't just about aesthetics; it's a marvel of engineering. With air suspension ensuring a smooth ride over rough terrain and integral loaders streamlining functionality, it sets a new standard in tractor design. The 360-degree rotating cabin facilitates effortless movement, while the trunk carrier adapts seamlessly to various harvesting environments. The design and functionality of the tractor's roof draw inspiration from the tiled roofs of Hanok houses. Solar panels provide energy, addressing previous issues of excessive exhaust emissions from tractors. Laser technology prevents nocturnal wildlife from damaging crops by creating a barrier during unmanned periods.

Innovative features include the activation of side steps and sliding doors upon activating the smart key, mimicking the traditional "Start routine" of entering Hanok through a stone fence layer. Air suspension provides comfortable rides even on rough terrain and the Integral tractor loaders offer a cleaner, more functional design without the need for separate attachments.

The connecting link allows for the attachment of various machines beyond loaders. The trunk carrier is suitable for harvesting not only in large fields but also in small greenhouses. Additionally, the top features six chrome parts that indicate battery levels.
Conclusion
As HANOK steps onto the world stage, it represents Korea's rich history and inventive nature. Mixing old and new, it's set to charm people everywhere. So, say goodbye to regular tractors and welcome a new era with HANOK - where old meets new, and every trip celebrates tradition. In short, HANOK brings the lifestyle and beauty of traditional Korean Hanok architecture to a mobile form. By fixing old tractor problems and adding the practicality and beauty of Hanok, HANOK aims to showcase Korea worldwide and catch everyone's eye with its unique design. About Designers
Yeongbin Park and Wantae Im, the designers, collaborated on the project as a team named HIT. The 'HANOK' project began with a design competition for 'TYM', a prominent tractor brand in Korea. Their objective was to craft a design that could effectively showcase Korea, considering TYM's substantial export market. Yeongbin Park is presently pursuing Industrial Design studies at Hoseo University in Korea. Engaged in automotive design projects, he aspires to become an automotive designer, demonstrating consistent growth through innovative concepts.
Meanwhile, Wantae Im is engaged in dynamic analysis and research on energy consumption efficiency and grading within a dynamic analysis laboratory. With plans to venture into various industries requiring dynamic analysis in the future, Im is actively pursuing his goals.
