Genesis Oasis Concept is the perfect mobility solution for freelancers and work-from-home employees

Jun 20, 2024

In today's world, digital connectivity shapes our lives, making remote work not only possible but also more attractive. Since the pandemic, the number of digital nomads has increased by over 130%, with more than 17 million Americans now identifying as digital nomads. The Genesis Oasis Concept addresses this change with a new concept designed to refresh the minds of remote workers. This small, fully electric roadster provides an excellent driving experience with its low centre of gravity and short wheelbase. It also creates a strong sense of openness and inspiration for the driver.

Remote workers often stay at home and rarely go out. Genesis's concept aims to change this by giving them a great reason to leave the house and explore the world.

Interior of the Genesis Oasis Concept

The interior design of this Genesis Oasis aimed to create a strong bond between the driver and the car. Inspired by natural lines formed by wind or water, the concept of "organic striation" guided the process. These lines suggest movement shaped by nature, resulting in a sculpted form that surrounds the driver while keeping them connected to the outside world. This approach led to a minimalist yet luxurious interior, offering comfort and modernity.

The sculpted design wraps around the driver, giving a secure feeling inside the car. The design also highlights the car's strength as a compact roadster. A main sculptural element runs through the interior and extends forward, symbolizing the car's power and high torque from its electric motors. This central element flows forward, creating a seamless energy movement highlighted by a light on the hood, reflecting the strong torque of the rear-wheel electric motors.

To make driving more engaging, the Genesis Oasis Concept uses a special combination of regenerative braking and an interactive boost system. When you break into a corner, energy is stored, and a light on the centre console builds up. Once it's full, you can pull a lever to get an extra boost of power as you exit the corner, making the driving experience more exciting. Inside the car, the driver's seat features biometric mesh technology that adapts to your body. Sensors detect pressure or tension points and adjust the seat for maximum comfort and support, helping you feel fully at ease in the car.

The Exterior of the Genesis Oasis Concept

The exterior design of the Oasis Concept blends smooth, natural shapes with efficient aerodynamics. The top part of the car looks untouched and organic, while the unique windshield design directs air over the driver and passenger, improving aerodynamic performance. Lower down, sharp lines help guide airflow around the car, creating downforce for better stability and performance. The headlights reimagine Genesis' double-line design, separating the lines to look like the wings of the Genesis logo. This design continues along the sides and into the body of the car, highlighting its speed and power.

As remote work grows, this innovative concept stands out, inviting digital nomads and creatives to explore the world engagingly.
